At present, China Hardware Association has awarded five tool industry clusters, namely "China hardware town" in Daxin Town of Zhangjiagang, "China tool hardware industry base" in Jinhua City, "China tool hardware (screwdriver) industry base" in Jiande City, "China tool hardware production base (Lin'an)" in Lin'an City and "China tool hardware town" in Yiqiao town. From the perspective of the development of tool and hardware industry cluster, the massive regional effect has significantly driven, and the number of enterprises in the cluster and the overall scale of the industry have maintained stable growth. The healthy operation of tool and hardware industry cluster has laid a solid foundation for the steady development of the industry.

In addition, the tool industry selected 25 well-known enterprises in the industry in 2013 and released and promoted them at home and abroad through the "China International Tool Industry Development Summit Forum" and "China tool independent brand series promotion activities". The famous brand selection activity is a milestone for promoting the brand construction of China's high-end tool products.

During the 13th Five Year Plan period, key enterprises in the industry should adopt advanced forging, mold processing and repair, CNC machine tools + multi station combined processing machine tools, controllable atmosphere heat treatment, medium and high frequency induction heating, environmental protection electroplating and other advanced technologies to transform traditional industries, improve labor productivity, improve product quality, grade and added value, change the development mode, and take the innovative development path of high standard, high quality and high efficiency.

At the same time, on the basis of strengthening exchanges at home and abroad, we should further promote the construction of the industry in manufacturing, sales, standards and testing, and enhance the voice of China's tool industry in the global tool industry chain.
